Learn About Virtual Tech Cabinet
The virtual tech cabinet is an online platform that features a standardized catalog of peripherals and tech accessories, designed exclusively to support remote and hybrid corporate and animation FTEs within the US and Canada. It’s accessible through Amazon PunchOut via Workday.
What is PunchOut?#
PunchOut is an e-procurement tool that integrates supplier catalogs, like Amazon Business, directly into our procurement system, Workday.
How do I access the Virtual Tech Cabinet?#
Log into Workday and follow the Amazon PunchOut Virtual Tech Cabinet instructions so that cost-center coding is properly captured.
Will the purchase be tied to my cost center?#
Following the PunchOut workflow, all items in the catalog will be coded to N-Tech (CC-601.01).
Can I purchase equipment outside the catalog?#
The simple answer is yes. If you choose to find a peripheral or tech accessory that better suits your needs and improves your work productivity, you may utilize Amazon Business (direct) and purchase and expense the item.
Log into go/amazonbuy and follow P-Card verification (if applicable) or Expense Report workflows. Laptops, tablets, and desktops are exempt from this program—visit go/buy instead.
Is there a limit on how much an employee should order? #
We leave it up to your judgment to purchase what you need to help improve your work productivity. If you’re unsure, check with your manager.
How can I check the status of my order or initiate a return?#
Amazon Business supports our account with Prime Shipping (2–3 days delivery), return instructions, and customer service.
You’ll receive emails from Amazon within 3 hours to confirm the order (no-reply@amazon.com) and provide shipping and tracking details (shipment-tracking@amazon.com) as well as delivery confirmation (order-update@amazon.com).
If there are delays or issues with your order, visit go/amazonbuy to check on the status or initiate a return. If you require additional support, contact Amazon Customer Service.
How can I cancel my Amazon order?#
Before initiating a return for an order placed through Workday, confirm if the requisition has been approved:
- Navigate to My Requisitions in Workday.
-
Confirm the Company is correct.
- US: Netflix Inc.
- Canada: Netflix Services Canada ULC.
- Set Document date on or after to a date that includes when your requisition was made.
- Select Ok.
- If the Workday requisition has not been approved, you can cancel or amend your order in Orders.
If the Workday requisition has been approved, meaning Amazon Business has already received the Purchase Order (PO), it’s likely the order has shipped.
- Visit go/amazonbuy (US) or go/amazonbuyca (Canada) and navigate to Your orders.
- Follow the prompts to cancel or return the order.
- If you require additional support, contact Amazon Customer Service.
- Once Amazon Business confirms the order has been canceled, mark the Workday requisition as canceled.
Can I pick up where I left off and combine my items into one cart?#
Amazon advises against combining carts into one Purchase Order (PO) because doing so can cause order or delivery issues. When you send your shopping cart back to Workday, complete the original requisition before punching out again to add more items. If you need to add more items to the order, cancel the original requisition and follow the Amazon PunchOut instructions to generate a new order.
Can I use Amazon Business to purchase other items?#
Yes, you can use Amazon Business for purchases outside of Tech&Dev, like office supplies. Log into go/amazonbuy (US) or go/amazonbuyca (Canada) , register using your Netflix email, and follow P-Card verification (if applicable) or Expense Report workflows.
How can I order a restricted item?#
Restricted items are identified by an admin note that pops up when you try to purchase something outside of the catalog. If it’s business-critical, contact your FPO Business Partner or reach out to #ntech-help for further guidance. The FPO Business Partner can be found in Workday from the FPO Business Partner tab in your profile overview.
I don't see the Pay With Invoice option.#
If you are signed into your personal Amazon account and trying to place an order through the workflow then Pay with an Invoice is not a payment option. Sign out of your personal amazon and retry.
